The Performance Series is handcrafted in the California Custom Shop. These custom-quality drums are now available with 100% Birch shells for a limited time. Suitable for live or studio performances of multiple styles, Birch offers a sharp attack, short sustain, and balanced resonance. These Birch shells feature HVX™ (horizontal-vertical-diagonal) grain orientation that ensures versatility and a complete musical instrument.

The tom and bass drum shells feature eight plies of Birch with 45- and 60-degree back-cut bearing edges, while snare drums feature 10 plies with a 45-degree back-cut edge. This series offers hardware features similar to those of the Collector's Series, including suspended Tom Mounts (STM), quarter-sized turret lugs, and graduated triple-flange counter hoops. Performance Series bass drums offer matching Birch hoops and low-mass claw hooks, while all drums are equipped with TruePitch 30 tuning tension rods. 

This configuration features an 8x10 and 9x12” mounted toms, 14x16” floor tom, 18x22” bass drum, and a matching 6.5x14” snare drum as an add-on.
