The Elektron Machinedrum SPS-1 MKII is a powerful hardware drum machine, synthesizer and sequencer for producing stunning grooves and drum patterns, and is ideally suited for producers, musicians, DJs, remixers and beat-makers the world over. The integrated Machinedrum employs 4 synthesis methods that include TRX, P-I, EFM and E12 synthesis methods. Each synthesis method is devised to create various tonal, character and style variants such as vintage drum machines, organic percussion textures, acoustic drum feel, and wild effects manipulation.

Machinedrum's powerful sequencer features a total of 16 tracks and 32 songs with step sequencing and realtime sequencing modes. More than a source for drum programming, Machinedrum's powerful synth engine allows for intricate synth editing and preset synth sounds for adding baselines, top-lines and more.

Its sequencer may be used to sequence external MIDI gear, allowing it to function as your studio's master hardware sequencer. There are a variety of expressive effects assigned to the tracks and master sections, allowing for wild and expressive sound manipulation, as well as the ability to apply effects to external hardware.
