The Ernie Ball 6166 Volume Pedal features a potentiometer that has a 250k ohm resistance suitable for the audio path of passive instruments.Behind the jack area under the footplate is a taper switch, which provides the user two distinct volume swell rates. The main pivot shaft is of centerless ground 1/2 inch diameter stainless steel, precision seated though nylon bushings at both ends. The large center shaft diameter, in addition the strength factor, creates a broader stress bearing surface.

The Ernie Ball 6166 Mono Volume Pedal features some cool enhancements that guitarists of every persuasion will appreciate. All the jacks have been moved to the front for quick and easy plug-in and there's an additional microswitch that evens the taper of the pot throughout the travel of the pedal.
