The SC4070 active studio monitor supersedes SC407 but continues to build on its predecessor, further redefining expected levels of sonic performance and accuracy for this truly world-class no-compromise monitoring system.

SC4070 features an advanced tweeter/mid range section and enhances the capability to reproduce low frequencies with two 6,5“ woofers connected to a very powerful amplifier array. Twin woofers allow reducing distortion even on high SPL and deliver an incredible tight and homogenous bass reproduction and very linear overall response.

These 4-way monitors are symmetrically designed. The eye catching central and massive silver aluminium plate is more than just an attractive design characteristic. It not only houses the midrange woofer and AMT tweeter but is rotatable to make the monitors equally suitable for vertical or horizontal positioning. Room adaption filters and volume control are accessible via SMART-knob with LED ring to indicate all settings with outmost precision.

A sophisticated cabinet completes the sleek design. The bevelled and ultra-stiff front plate reduces unwanted resonances and diffraction.

Tech Talk

The SC407 is the smaller monitor in their range of four-way systems, but it's by no means small! Two 6.5" SilverCone woofers with a specially made 1.5" voice coil extend the bass frequency response down to 35Hz and work simultaneously up to 280Hz.

An extra developed 4" SilverCone midrange unit joins these high quality bass drivers that endows these speakers with a greater linear excursion and clear and accurate midranges. The bass and mid woofers in our SC407 feature their very low distortion copper cap magnet system. They combine our unique glass fibre coated diaphragms with stable honeycomb structure to deliver sound spectacularly detailed and clear.

The proprietary AMT RS3 (Ribbon System 3) tweeter houses a bigger magnet system to deliver a higher output level with virtually no distortion, even at high output levels.

Each driver is provided with its own PWM amplifier for a total short-term output power of 600 W. With a maximum output level of 116dB (SPL @ 1 m) you'll definitely be able to judge your mixes precisely, whatever their intended output level is.

As the SC407 combines perfectly powerful bass with a very transparent mid-range and crystal clear high frequencies, it is predestined to be the perfect tool for mid-to-large size control rooms, where quality and consistent power output are the most important variables.

As with every other EVE Audio speaker, you get both balanced XLR inputs and unbalanced RCA inputs for greater convenience.

DSP

With every EVE Audio speaker, you also get high resolution DSP electronics. One push knob operation and you will have access to accurate volume control and several different filter settings that will help you tailor your monitors to the way you work. And if you always avoid digital processing, we've got you covered. The DSP engine is supported with a high quality A/D converter (24bit/192kHz) from Burr-Brown, which delivers a pristine signal to the DSP section. Bass Port Design

It's all in the geometry. One of the downside effects of port compression is bass distortion. As you turn up the volume, the efficiency of the port reduces and distortion will increase.

They opted for a large rear rectangular port with no hard edges for our bass port designs. That's one of the reasons EVE monitors have a high efficiency on the lower frequencies.

The results? High sound pressures with tight and punchy bass frequencies that don't cause port distortion. Crank up the volume, and EVE will deliver a round bass. And with no holes to look at every time you glance at your speakers.
