Specially built for Alto Music, this Fender Custom Shop creation is full of surprises. A passing glance reveals a 60s style Surf Green 60s reissue Tele. A closer look reveals a mix of 50s and 60s specs with “heavy” and “light” relic treatment.
A 2-piece Alder body (hand-selected for lightweight and resonance) finished in Surf Green Lacquer without the usual “relic” strumming arm distress is fitted with a pair of C.S. “No-Caster” pickups for fat 50s Tele tone. The neck features a deep mid-50s “U” shape, with a heavy relic’d unfinished “dirty neck” look and feel. An early 60s style slab fingerboard of AAA dark rosewood with a 9.5” radius and “clay” dots cap off the neck and chameleon-like style of this truly unique instrument.
