This ’68 Black Paisley journeyman Strat (serial # CZ580381) weighs only 7.8 lbs. but generates a ton of tone and an immeasurable vibe. With its lacquered silver burst Paisley front and back (and matching headstock), the bold looks of this Strat can turn heads even before the tubes are warmed up. Once cranked up, this versatile beauty will turn heads again with its fantastic range of highly desirable Stratocaster tones. 

Player comfort and top-shelf performance start with the 2-piece Alder body, w/late-60s contours, hand-selected for lightweight and resonance. It’s joined with a rift-sawn maple neck with a slim, smooth-finished ’69 “C” shaped profile that’s super-fast and super-stable in any environment. The specially selected AAA dark rosewood ‘board features a 9.5” radius, “taller and wider than vintage” Dunlop 6105 frets, for modern high-performance playability. 

Under the guard, a trio of era-specific hand-wound pickups—a smooth and warm ’69 in the neck position, big, glassy Fat 50s in the middle, and red-hot Texas Special in the bridge—provide flexible “horsepower” to this reimagined flower-power era classic. Additional versatility and performance include a tone bleed cap that keeps your signal clear when you roll down the master volume and a dedicated tone control for the bridge pickup.
