This SG Custom is built to turn heads, with a gloss nitrocellulose lacquer finish in Radiant Sparkle that brings a bold, modern twist to the iconic silhouette. The solid mahogany body delivers rich resonance and sustain, while the sleek contours and lightweight design make it a joy to play on stage or in the studio.

The neck is carved from mahogany and joined with a long tenon and hide glue for maximum tonal transfer. It features the Authentic 1961 neck profile, offering a fast, comfortable feel that’s true to the earliest SGs. The ebony fretboard is bound and fitted with medium jumbo frets and Custom mother-of-pearl block inlays, adding a touch of elegance and precision to the playing experience. The Custom theme continues on the headstock, where the Gibson logo and famous Custom split diamond are inlaid in mother-of-pearl. A striking ebony stinger on the back of the headstock adds an extra touch of customization.

Driving this SG Custom is a pair of unpotted Custombucker Alnico 3 humbucker™ pickups that deliver vintage-inspired tone with exceptional clarity and dynamic response. Hand-wired with two volume and two tone controls and a Switchcraft® 3-way toggle, the electronics provide a wide range of expressive possibilities—from warm cleans to leads that can cut through any band mix.

Hardware includes an ABR-1 bridge and Stop Bar tailpiece, finished in nickel instead of the more commonly found gold hardware typically used on Customs, with matching nickel pickup covers and Kluson® Waffleback® tuners. Black Top Hat knobs with silver inserts, black plastic parts, and black control covers complete the classic Custom aesthetic, while the sparkle finish adds a bold, contemporary edge that is sure to make the owner stand out on any stage.
