There is absolutely no mistaking the Dual Rectifier’s hard-hitting articulation, scooped mids, and high-gain “sizzle,” which has unquestionably redefined the sound of American-style high-gain guitar tone. Since their introduction in 1992, Mesa’s Rectifier series amps have undergone several revisions, culminating in the 3-channel model available today. While the current model preserves the sound and spirit of the original early/mid 90’s versions, many players wish they could go back in time and add the original voiced and layout design to their arsenal. The Limited Edition Mesa '90s Dual Rectifier revisits the early 90’s “F revision” of the modern classic while incorporating key upgrades of more recent revisions. Expect distinctly throaty & present mids, super-tight low-end, and a more aggressive gain structure. The simple yet versatile front-panel controls mark a return to the original Orange-and-Red dual-channel layout. The Orange offers vintage-voiced cleans with a robust low end through a more mid-forward “vintage voiced” drive sound. The Red channel features a decidedly modern, aggressive response, with famously scooped mids and the ultra-high gain sizzle that made the Dual Rectifier an instant classic. Each channel can be “cloned” to provide foot-switchable access to two different settings of the same channel. Each channel is equipped with an independent 3-band EQ, Presence, and Master Volume. 

On the back panel, the power toggle lets you further customize sound and feel from bold to spongy-style sag, and choose solid-state diodes or an old-school tube rectifier for each channel. The 90s Dual Rectifier produces 100 watts of power using a quartet of 6L6 power tubes that can be easily swapped out for EL34s, with the flip of the bias switch. An updated effects loop is wired in series, delivering a much better sound, with lower noise than the originals. Topping everything off in a striking visual style, the Limited Edition 90s Dual Rectifier is decked out in a Black Snake Vinyl cover, blacked-out Diamond face, plus Rosso Scuderia Red control panel, for a custom 90s look.
