This is a ring modulator with attitude. The effect multiplies and mixes the input sound with a special signal, generated by the internal oscillator.
When you have tried every EQ in your plug-in set and you need a extra something to give some "personality" to a sound, Psycho Ring will probably give that extra "indentity".
The result is a unique sound, saturated with lots of different harmonics.
