The PMC6 is a compact 2-way active studio monitor. It has a completely custom 6.5” bass driver and a customized version of an SB Acoustics tweeter. SB Acoustics are a well-known drive unit manufacturer with a good reputation for high quality drive units.

The speaker is powered by an ICEPower 2x200W amplifier. This is an up-rated version of the amp module used in the Result6 which has so far proved to be very reliable.

The PMC6 delivers a significant improvement in bass performance over the TwoTwo6. The bass performance is similar to a TwoTwo8 and almost on par with the AML.

The PMC6 also features an entirely unique ‘adaptive crossover’. The speaker can detect whether it has been placed in a portrait or landscape configuration and adapts its crossover to suit. This takes the ethos behind the TwoTwo’s offset tweeter a step further and allows the crossovers to be completely optimized for the two different orientations. Note that the other new models do not include this feature as their form-factor does not lend themselves to use in two different orientations, and therefore the feature is not needed as the crossover is already fully optimized.

The PMC6 features mounting threads on the sides of speaker to allow it to be hung from a yoke, providing flexible mounting options for multi-channel rigs.
