The Schecter Corsair Bass in Metallic Gold (MGLD) features a set-neck construction with a maple body, arched top contour, and cream multi-ply binding. Hardware is chrome, and the bridge is a Tune-O-Matic and tailpiece bass design. This is a right-handed instrument.

The neck is a 3-piece maple design with carbon fiber reinforcement rods and a Thin “C” profile. The fingerboard is ebony with pearloid block inlays, a 16" (406 mm) radius, and 20 narrow X-jumbo frets. Scale length is 34" (863 mm). Neck thickness measures .787" (20 mm) at the 1st fret and .866" (22 mm) at the 12th fret. The nut is a Graph Tech XL Black Tusq with a width of 1.496" (38 mm), and the truss rod is a 2-way adjustable rod with a 5/32" (4 mm) Allen nut.

Electronics include EMG TBHZ pickups in the neck and bridge positions with master volume, blend, and 2-band EMG active EQ controls. Power is supplied by a 9-volt clip-in battery compartment.

Additional features include WSC KG700 lightweight vintage tuners, metal knurled knobs with set screws, and Ernie Ball 4-String Super Long strings (.045–.105).
