The Venos variable-bias tube compressor is worthy of a place in any high-end professional recording facility. 

Each critical operational element is laid out so well that you won’t even need to look at your hands. Input, Threshold, Bias, and Output settings are each controlled by a large rotary knobs that regulate both channels simultaneously. Each potentiometer features positive-click detents for precise operation and quick return to preferred settings. The tube power can be rectified using classic germanium, silicon, or LED transistors to achieve three distinct tonal characteristics. The SPL’s six-position mode control brings out the versatility of this multi-role, vintage/modern compressor. Linear, Modern, and Vintage settings offer distinct flavors of analog filtering. Clicking clockwise past high noon, you’ll discover Venos Focus and Punch mode settings. The focus setting provides detailed mis-focus and extremely tight compression. In Punch mode, Venos takes on an aggressive character, perfect for hard-hitting mixes, previously unobtainable with variable-bias design comp.

Click all the way to the final mode to engage the external side chain insert loop on the back of Venos, allowing you to apply your own side chain EQ —or return input alone to side chain an external source.
