This version of Taylor's 15/16-scale Dreadnought features layered sapele back and sides, a solid Sitka spruce top, and Taylor’s Expression System Baby™ (ES-B) pickup, which incorporates piezo elements from the Expression System® 2. The pickup is powered by an onboard preamp that boasts a handy built-in digital chromatic tuner. The preamp/tuner unit features an LED display for tuning and low battery indication, along with Tone and Volume controls. The extra utility makes it easier than ever to sound your best, both unplugged and amplified. The guitar comes with a gig bag for easy portability.

• Big Baby: The Baby Taylor’s upsized sibling is nearly a full-size Dreadnought (15/16 scale) that yields a more robust voice. It’s another great option as an affordable starter guitar, and its layered wood back and sides make it a resilient, travel-friendly companion for all kinds of players.
• Sitka Spruce: The most commonly used wood for guitar tops, Sitka generates a broad dynamic range and accommodates numerous playing styles, from aggressive strumming to fingerpicking.
• Layered Sapele: Taylor’s layered backs and sides incorporate three layers of wood, featuring a middle core of poplar with a veneer on each side. While layered woods won’t produce quite as complex a sound as solid woods, they allow us to blend exotic looks with climate-resilient construction.
• Expression System Baby: This pickup utilizes piezo elements from the Taylor ES2. It’s powered by an onboard preamp that also includes a built-in digital chromatic tuner. The preamp/tuner unit features an LED display for tuning and low battery indication, along with tone and volume controls.
• No cutaway: There’s a lot to be said for the clean, traditional look of a non-cutaway acoustic guitar. If you don’t plan to play in the upper register, which is made more accessible with a cutaway,  or if you simply prefer the symmetrical hourglass contours of a guitar, a non-cutaway model is a great option.
