When it comes to Microphone Boom stand, there is a new standard to live up to. The Triad Orbit brand stands have cast iron bases and a fully adjustable base to position the stand whichever want you want. The secret to its design is their patent pending ratcheted mechanism. Each leg has 4 ratcheted positions that angles up to 65 degrees. 

 
The IO Quick Change coupler comes standard on all triad stands. It makes switching out mic clips quick and easy without having to deal with threading. They also use professional grade clutches instead of knobs and thumbscrews to adjust and secure the shafts and bases. Their air suspension system protechts expensive studio microphone against accidental impact damage.
