Tone King Galaxy 2x12 Cabinet in Turquoise
With the release of the new Tone King Galaxy comes the Galaxy 2x12 cabinet. This retro styled work of art comes loaded with two of Tone King's "33" Custom Designed Loudspeakers. Utilizing all-birch ply construction, this cab is voiced for a chimey, present tone with increased warmth and fatness throughout the mid frequencies, all while retaining a full bottom end! Not so easy to get all in one cab, but Tone King has done it.
Notice the old school TV legs on the cabinet? Those aren't just for looks. They were designed to decouple the speaker cabinet from the floorto increase the accuracy of the amp. A commonstudio trick in the industry is to put something under combo amps or speaker cabs to allow the microphone to pick up the true sound coming from the speakers rather than the boomy vibrations from the floow. This already does that for you, and it looks awesome in the process!
If the output from the head is too great for you, then you may wish to purchase the cab with the Tone King Ironman Cab Attenuator pre-installed in the back. This attenuator is identical to the Tone King Ironman in every way except it is specifically designed to work with the Galaxy Head and Cabinet . It's rated at 60 watts, and doesn't have the impedance selector. This option is a $750 upcharge. Not cheap, but quite possibly the best attenuator on the market.
