The all new Yamaha YAS-875EXII has been redesigned with today’s top professionals to provide a horn that offers the most expressive sound and stress-free playing experience. During the re-design process, Yamaha took into consideration the low end of these horns. So with experimentation, they decided to reduce the diameter of the low C and D tone holes, which resulted in ease in playing the low end, without flux in sound, and without changing the resistance throughout the horn. Also re-designed is the Customer EX mouthpiece, which is included with this horn. The re-designed mouthpiece offers greater projection as well as soft, beautiful tonality. The shape of the tip has been modified for increased comfort and easier tonal control.

Easy to Play in the Lower Register
During the design process, Yamaha experimented with new methods for producing the bottom bow of the instrument. The diameter of the low C and D toneholes has been reduced and Yamaha’s unique acoustic annealing process has been applied to enhance low note playability. Resistance is consistent throughout the instrument’s range.
